How many numbers in one telephone set can be simultaneously active using eSIM technology?

Actually a question. Nowhere did I find any sane spec, in the fundamental limitations of the eSIM technology now so advanced, on the number of worker numbers in one device.

I'm interested in the moment - is it possible to load more than 1 number into the device at the same time (judging by the fragmentary info in Google - you can load more than 1 number) and most importantly - will it be like in a device with 2-3 SIM cards as usual, all 3-4- Are 5 or more eSIM numbers active and ready to receive calls? Or is there a hard limit somewhere? Let's say I need numbers from all 3 operators in the region, and a 3-sim smartphone, you know, is a rarity. All hope for eSIM in this case. Well, in addition to local numbers, you need numbers from other countries so that they are also online.

There can be multiple eSIM profiles, but only one can always be active.
