How long should the partition change during installation?

I put Linux manjaro (I have never used Linux before), there is only one disk, it was already partitioned, I left one partition with files, but indicated to increase it (from 550 to 600 GB), deleted the rest of the partitions and partitioned it into boot / efi (500 MB), / (root, 350 GB), swap (4 GB). And now, when you start the installation, for half an hour, "Changing the size of the / dev / nvme0n1p5 partition" hangs by 1%. This is fine?

RAM: 16GB
SSD: SATA 1TB
AMD Ryzen 3 4300U

No, not normal.
But touching old partitions during installation is not a good idea. It's better to install, IMHO, without mounting your partition with files - and then, from an already working system, resize it.
