Hello dear! Please tell me, how long will the flash capacitor of the Nikon 3100 camera be discharged with the battery removed? There is a need to disassemble the camera, but after reading about cases of electric shock from this capacitor, I decided to protect myself and the equipment by asking for an answer here. So, how long does it take for this capacitor to be guaranteed to discharge itself and to be able to disassemble the camera without fear?

I won’t say specifically for this device, but after two days the flash conder from any soap dish still sparks when shorted.
Disassemble, do not be afraid, the main thing - when disassembling, do not fit a conductive object into the contacts of the capacitor. As you figure it out, short it with a 1-10 kOhm resistor for a couple of minutes, or, if you are not afraid of sparks, with a screwdriver (with an insulated handle!).
