Upwork

How long does it take to dispute on Upwork?

I described the situation in more detail here:
Does the refusal of money in a Fixed Price project affect the Job Success Score?
The bottom line: there is a Fixed Price project on which I did the work, but the client believes that it is not. At the same time, he himself added many edits. I don't plan to work with him anymore.
I asked technical support for help, and the employee offers 2 options:
1) Return the money to the client. However, the client can still leave private feedback that affects the JSS;
2) Try to get the truth and money through the Upwork Mediation Team dispute.
Question: do disputes take a lot of time and is it worth it? Or is it easier to return the money to the client (450) and move on?

I won my last and first dispute in 5-10 minutes,
but it depends on the arguments of the parties and how long the upwork will check them
during working hours, usually everything is adequately quickly checked

In the event of a dispute, feedback can be left anyway.
If the client is touchy - if you win, you can easily get bad public and private feedback from him.

If the project is small, it is better to negotiate amicably and return the money to the client. In this case, there is a chance to do without reviews. Reputation on small orders is more valuable than money. Well, if the amount is rather big and you are 100% sure that you are right, then open a dispute.
I have not yet had to get involved in disputes on upwork, but on domestic exchanges in disputable situations they almost always returned money to the customer, even if the truth was on my side.
