How long do providers keep the history of surfing the Internet?
In general, I don’t think that anyone is interested in what videos I watched on YouTube and what recipes I was looking for, but curiosity haunts me, the topic is still quite interesting. As far as I know, according to the Yarovaya law, providers store correspondence and calls for 6 months, but how long do they store information about what videos the user watched, what channels he visited, read articles on Habré, etc. I also know that providers keep logs for 3 years, but what information is contained in these logs and what is it all about?

Providers do not see what URLs you go to and what you enter in the search box - all major sites have been working on HTTPS for a long time, respectively - the maximum that is visible is the names of the domains you go to.
On October 1, a government decree came into force in the Russian Federation, obliging telecom operators to store all Internet traffic of users for the last 30 days for six months.
Perhaps this period will be extended to 3 years.
