How is Xamarin licensed?

I want to try to create an application using Xamarin in C # for Android. As I understand it, Xamarin Forms is not available in the free version.
I have a licensed VS. Is it equivalent in terms of Xamarin features? Those. Is it possible to say that they are completely interchangeable or what is the situation?
If Visual Studio is installed, do I need to install Xamarin itself?
Are there full Xamarin trials online?

Everything you describe can be done in VS, you just need to deliver the components and Xamarin.Forms is free for " small " companies.

Xamarin.Forms is MIT licensed
Also Xamarin.Android SDK and Xamarin.iOS + Mac SDK are MIT licensed
