3 hipsters in sweaters are sitting and drinking coffee. The manager is looking on the github for something similar to his future project.

How many people think, for example, over the concept of a future project?

Not much. The manager coordinates the TK with the client and saws the site based on the existing developments.
There are none. If the client is not satisfied with the proposed layout, an application for freelance is given.
Was there a question about a typical web studio here?

I worked in the studio. We had a director (not art, just), a project manager, a layout designer, two programmers and a designer, I was alone, I had everything from websites to business cards. There were so many orders as if we had not one designer, but at least 5. At the same time, I was also reproached for my slow work. That is, it happened that I simultaneously made design for two sites, a logo and a menu for a restaurant. I was asked to make a "cool" logo in an hour... Completely redoing the design 8-10 times so that it has nothing to do with the TK is a common practice. In general, what I did there is embarrassing even to add to the portfolio. In the studio, basically everything was done under the dictation of the customer, that is, I didn’t even feel like a designer, rather just a person who owns Photoshop and an illustrator. And yet, now you will laugh, my salary was 4000 UAH, it is about 12,000 rubles. I went there purely for some experience and development. But it didn’t work out very well there due to “sputtering” on all areas of design at once and excessive “licking ass” to customers. Apparently the director was well paid for this, but I didn’t hear anything except “let’s do it the quick way,” even “well done, thank you.”
In general, going to the studio, you need to get acquainted with it well and think about whether you need it. It all depends on the studio. It depends on the leadership and the team whether you will develop or degrade. But the main thing is to try, maybe you will be lucky with the studio, if you get out of there in 1-2 months like me. They definitely won't beat you there. :)

I would say where, how, where everything is done by one person and at the same time everything turns out great, and all the work is done by the guys who are hired for the project.
There are a lot of people doing projects there. Many studios don't have a senior designer or an architect at all =)
It all depends on the projects the studio is focused on.
The advantages of working in the state are that the employee you need is always at hand, discipline and people really work there.

Studio is a relative concept...
1 intermediary, aka CEO, accountant, project manager, account manager, etc. work, some bugs around, you shouldn’t even think about usability.
Studio from 5-15 people. Usually a CEO, a couple of fronters, a designer, a project manager, seo - a nickname. The quality of work is 4+ (at best), more often outsourcers. Orders of a low-mid price category. Think 2 (CEO and Project) .
Well, digital agency. It’s more serious here, they work with brands and retailers, all responsibility is spelled out in the contract, tender guys.
