How is the web now?

I'm mostly interested in the front-end.
1) Are ready-made frameworks popular or do many people cut their own solutions?
2) How deep do you need to know JS now? The basis is, of course, what is needed.
3) What framework is better to start studying this topic when creating a project on ASP.NET MVC? More in terms of not starting the study with such a framework that will quickly lose its relevance.
And it would not hurt the site, which could be trained.

1) They are popular, there is no point in reinventing rotten wheels.
2) What is the basis in your concept? JS itself is hell, without strong typing it's better to make sites in yukoz. Learn TypeScript, you will be happy.
3) What is the difference on what backend? ASP.NET MVC, Django, Spring, front-end developer should not worry about this, understand the basic concepts for a start. Angular 2(4) will be in demand in the coming years.

Thanks, it's ok
1) Are ready-made frameworks popular or do many people cut their own solutions?
90% of adequate people use ready-made frameworks, someone who doesn’t like something - takes the most suitable one and makes a fork (rare case), since they are all mostly open source and some kind of free license. The option "sawing their own" is usually a separate project a la vue, a framework for the sake of a framework, and not for the sake of a project on it.
2) How deep do you need to know JS now? The basis is, of course, what is needed.
As far as you can, this is the only (currently) language that can work with the house model. Accordingly, there is nothing to do in the frontend without it.
3) What framework is better to start studying this topic when creating a project on ASP.NET MVC?
What the back works on is not important at all. It is important that the data for the frontend be able to provide correctly, what it is written on should not interest you as a frontender, at least in brainfuck, you only need to know the api. Which framework to study is your choice, there are about 5-6 popular ones on the market, I have not studied due to the fact that I mostly work with back. Google to the rescue.
And it would not hurt the site, which could be trained.
All project sites usually have a section of tutorials and documentation, if you have basic knowledge in programming, you will have no problems mastering any of them.

3. Backbone looks great with ASP.NET MVC
