How is the process of uploading photos from a camera with Wi-Fi to the cloud?
It's not very clear how this happens. From the camera, the photo is transferred to the phone, and then to the cloud, or is it not stored in transit immediately to the cloud through the phone?

Where is the telephone in your scheme?
The camera connects to any wifi in theory. Then it just uploads to the cloud like any other device
telepathic 'photo' and 'camera' - is it an app on a smartphone?
by default, if you allow it, the smartphone has applications for synchronizing all files, apple, google, xiaomi, ... have their own, and often they can work simultaneously (google and xiaomi for example)
the same application for creating photos can be able to upload photos independently
and of course, third-party synchronization applications, such as syncting, monitor the directory where photos are saved and immediately upload them to the server.
There is hardly a common standard for cameras with Wi-Fi to upload photos to the clouds, and it is unlikely that the manufacturer will reveal the code anywhere.
If the phone does not use any application for the camera and, accordingly, the upload is done through the camera menu, then the photos do not get to the phone, the phone works here in router mode.
If the upload goes through the application on the phone, then you need to ask questions to the application developers.
Simply put, there is no reliable answer to your question, and those who know it, most likely, will not be able to write, since this is a commercial secret (and it’s not a fact that they know Russian at all)
