How is the pay in the web studio?
Hello.
The other day I asked myself the question "how do they pay in a web studio?". I couldn't find anything useful on the internet, so I thought I'd ask here.
For the most part, I'm interested in how exactly the calculation is made of "how much to pay Andrey", and "how much to Dima" and what percentage of the order the studio itself receives.
It depends on the percentage of the project or is it a fixed RFP.
And what then to do if there are no projects?
If someone knows, then help, please put things in order in my head and streamline all my thoughts.
Thanks in advance :)

There are several options:
1. Remote work with payment per month. The studio itself monitors its workload, in case of a lack of orders, it fires people.
2. Remote work with payment per hour, you are asked to estimate the volume and put down the hours spent. As soon as the studio decides that your ratio of hours-to-results is not suitable, you will be fired, although they may subsequently handle problematic tasks)
3. You are asked to evaluate the entire project / a large share of the project, choose the appropriate one from several estimates.
4. Mixed approach with all options.
- If you are a programmer, then you will have a salary + working hours. Salary and output depends on your level of knowledge and on the number of projects on which you sit. Also from the fat content of the web studio and its clients.
Or you can only have a salary. That happens more often. But when processing, an increase is discussed.
- If you are a project manager, then you will have a salary (most often meager) + a percentage of the completed project. The more complex the project, the higher the percentage. This percentage is paid after the customer signed the acts and transferred the money to the studio and when the customer made an advance payment at the beginning of work.
- If you are in the marketing department (advertising, analytics, SEO), you have a salary + a percentage of orders, sales, advertising budget, etc.
the head lays the salary of each based on his contribution to the project, based on his competencies, whether the employee creates added value, etc. This is a complex calculation and is made on the basis of a combination of data on current orders, forecasted and other factors.
-- percent? what does percentage mean? the studio receives money and puts it on the purchase of the CMS, and on the work of employees. What else can she give away?
if there are no projects, and employees are on staff, then managers cut salaries and introduce a percentage of sales or come up with other KPIs, for example, you won’t give sales to programmers, so they simply cut their salaries and can be transferred to part-time, as an option.
There is a very good article, be sure to read it!
