How is the interaction between PHP/MySQL/Apache going?

I want to start learning PHP with MySQL.
If I at least roughly understand that PHP somehow interacts with the database in order to operate on data, then I don’t understand at all why Apache is needed (I’m talking about it, because I haven’t heard of anything else).
Is there any simple scheme in the form of a picture, video, or even something visual on this topic? How does it all interact.
Now there are hemorrhoids, in order to put all this and configure it, you need to figure it out. But why and what I put more important to me now.
Is there anything for a noob?

Now it's enough for you to put php stupidly. php.net/manual/en/features.commandline.webserver.php you don't need Apache.
