How is the integration of online services on the client side arranged?

To begin with, you need at least a superficial understanding of the options for integrating various online services with an already operating business. Here are some typical cases:
1. Integration of an online pizza order form into an existing pizzeria.
For example, there is an already operating pizzeria in which orders are taken at the point itself or by phone. How to implement notification of receipt of an order through a website?
2. Integration of online restaurant reservations.
My vision:
In the first case, the easiest way is to send an SMS message to the phone of the person responsible for receiving orders.
Cons (based on assumptions):

  • High probability of order loss or delayed response. SMS messages are easy to miss.
  • Lack of convenient ability to collect statistics on orders for further analysis. From a business standpoint, it would be good to be able to analyze the performance of different sales channels.

A more complex option is an electronic order accounting system. I have no idea what it looks like in working order. Do not put a separate computer for the employee who takes orders.
In the case of an online table reservation system, a more universal solution is needed, allowing the manager and site visitor to see the availability of tables for ordering, be able to cancel the reservation, etc.
I think that all the necessary solutions have long been developed. The question is their price and availability for businesses of different sizes. For example, a small cafe in a small town is unlikely to be able to afford the purchase of the entire complex of necessary equipment and software.
In any case, I would be grateful for any information on the topic.

I think in any case you will come to some kind of business process management system. Perhaps it will be some kind of universal system, perhaps created specifically for you. And you will definitely have to allocate a computer, at least to the order manager.
If now there is no way to implement it yourself, then you can use ready-
made services
