Share how you organize your work. Develops locally and then uploads to the server or does it immediately on the server? Do you use version control? Testing?

Depends on the degree of complexity of development, sometimes it is possible on my own server, it is possible on the client's server on a copy for development, as a rule I work through an IDE with automatic file upload. CVS is desirable and in most cases required. Testing from the usual in the browser during development, to automatic unit and functional tests, through the Countinous Integration system with automatic uploading of results from repositories, etc., in general, everything depends on the project and imagination.
