How is lightning protection done in smart homes?
In that year, I made a "smart garden" version 0.9.
Functionality: filled drip irrigation barrels twice a day and sent SMS after switching on and off. The summer worked fine, in August lightning struck... the power supply (from the computer) was cut off, the real-time module, the gsm module was thrown off. After the PSU restart, the Mega controller started up, but did not work.
This year I want to add watering through valves, linear drives to the greenhouse, rain sensors and more ... it's a bunch of wires down the street. What can be done to protect against thunderstorms?
