Error when flashing usbasp via arduino. Where to dig?

I received a brand new usbasp from China and I'm trying to upload firmware to it. Arduino acts as a programmer. I follow the instructions xdomus.ru/usbasp-upgrade and get the error avrdude: Device signature = 0x000000

Solved the problem. I did everything according to this article. www.rogerclark.net/updating-firmware-on-usbasp-bou... The programmer is exactly the same and you should have been more careful with the pinout
