How is it convenient to draw a server room diagram?

Are there any convenient programs for drawing a server room layout? I'm currently using Visio, but I don't like it for many reasons. I want to write something of my own with a web interface, but maybe there are already ready-made solutions? It is interesting the possibility of creating a graphical diagram of the physical location of the racks, literally a top view of the server room, some simple functions like pinging servers and displaying the status on the diagram, cards of racks and servers with information about those in charge, etc.
