How is it better to do auto-checking of search engine results and sending new results?

Previously, it was like this:
We take Yahoo Pipes and construct something like "search Google for such and such a request, if there are differences, send them to email somewhere."
There is no project right now.
Is there something similar simple?
In general, you just need to google automatically and somehow signal new events.
