How is history.api done in vk?

I can’t figure out how to change the url through history.api to spin the loader in the browser.

Found the answer. And ajax has nothing to do with it. It's the iframe. when clicked, change the src attribute and load the desired page.

Before sending an ajax request, you change the favicon, after that you change it back, what's so difficult about it?
