How is an elementary power relay control circuit built using 12v?

I'm trying to assemble the most elementary circuit on a relay block. I am superficially familiar with electronics.
Assembled as shown in the diagram.

What I want to achieve:
1. I press the button (key) that supplies 12v to the circuit;
2. I receive a change in the state of the relay.
What happens in reality:
1. I press the button;
2. The diode "DS1" lights up, as if saying that everything should happen;
3. The state of the relay does not change. As it was NO and remains. As it was NC and remains.
Question:
I don’t understand something fundamentally, or did the Chinese send something non-working?

@tugo

GND to -12V
VCC to +12V
Control signal:
In1 to +5V
GND to -5V

That's right, power and relay control are two different things. Connect GND to ground, Vcc to phase, and change the level on the control pin (apply 5 volts) and check.
