How is a search different from a filter?
Please provide definitions and examples.
I understand the essence of the search, I understand the essence of filtering.
But I can't give a definition.

The search is when we dug in the bag and pulled out everything that looked like a cat. And the filter is the opposite, when we throw out everything that is not similar from the bag and expect that only cats will remain there. In general, the same thing, but the approach is a little different.
