How in Google Docs Excel to count how many times a certain word occurs in a certain column?

In it, the word "Professional" occurs in column B:B several times.
I need to count how many times this word occurs in a given column and output that value to a cell.
In Microsoft Excel, this is done with:
=СЧЁТЕСЛИ(B:B;"Профессионал")
How can this be done in Google Docs?
