How in Android Studio do elements have a height of 50% of the screen?

I can't figure it out, the IDE is just awful. The application will have two buttons on the activity, it is necessary that they occupy half the screen.

A vertical LinearLayout with your buttons inside. Make everything match_parent and... get used to it :)
