How hard is it to find a job related to the development of AI in games?

Hello, I study under the PMI program, I chose unconsciously. There are a lot of mathematical disciplines in the program, in general, it involves the preparation of a Data Science specialist. But I recently realized that the only interesting thing is the development of AI in games. Accordingly, it is interesting how large the market is and whether it is difficult for a novice specialist to find a job in this particular area.

Hard. Games don't have AI. And there is no such thing as AI. Learn more - maybe they will tell you.

spherical geometry of Hamilton and the theory of functions of a complex variable, numerical and optimization methods). And by the way, as said above, that AI does not exist. AI is a superposition of optimization and numerical methods, mathematical statistics and discrete mathematics

The so-called AI in games does not solve applied problems.
Instead, he solves a single problem - the imitation of behavior, thinking. This is not real intelligence, but only an illusion of intelligence.
That is, the name of AI is purely conditional. The goals of this component, like everything else in the game, are determined by the game design of a particular game. And this has almost nothing to do with AI. But, nevertheless, in a narrow sense, the name is still used.
Therefore, if you want to make AI for games, then studying psychology (including zoopsychology, sociology, etc.), game design, and programming itself is more useful for you.
In addition, AI in games is very limited in power. Therefore, all existing information on AI in games in every possible way affects the problem of optimization. After all, they may want to run the game both on an ancient computer and on a weak smartphone. So intelligent agents (units) need to appear smart to the player while consuming a minimum of resources. Because of this, games use fairly simple and understandable algorithms. There is nowhere to turn around. You can’t make a decision in 1 minute, you need to meet 10 ms.
