Rust

How good is Rust for Embedded systems, such as modules for wifi routers?

Most of what I come across for different devices is written in the good old C.
But recently I came across a fresh project written in Rust.
Rust looks much more comfortable and advanced.
How well does it fit for such development, given the current development of the language, toolchain, development environments, and more? As I understand it, the resulting code itself fits into the conditions of working with limited resources, but correct me if I'm wrong.
Is it already possible to take it as a basis for a product or will it be "weeping - pricked and continued to chew"?

Now, in general, everything is ok, but sometimes there will be "crying and pricking", especially if some kind of peripheral or chip is used, for which ready-made libraries have not yet been written (or they are outdated).
Well, this is my feeling, maybe I haven’t climbed deep yet. With all sorts of popular things like stm32-discovery, everything is ok.
