How does the server determine that the browser is closed (session)?

After authorization on the site (for example, qip.ru), the site stores data, tobish cookies, and also stores it when the tab is closed.
But as soon as I close the browser, I automatically exit the site (when the cookies of other sites remain in place VK, poison, YouTube) and I need to "log in"
again I didn’t leave the site (I closed the browser)
I’m interested in exactly how the server determines that I closed the browser? and ways to get around. Thank you.

When you close your browser, these cookies will be deleted. By their absence, the server will determine.
You can configure the browser (or install plugins) that will save the current sessions. In chrome, I use session buddy , in fox it also somehow works, maybe TabMixPlus does it, maybe some kind of jackdaw in the settings, I don’t remember already.
