How does the separation between characters occur in Morse code?

When information is transmitted in Morse code, they understand that one character has ended and another begins (after all, character codes are of different lengths depending on the frequency of occurrence of the letter).

The transmission speed is calculated relative to the duration of the sounding point. The duration of all other elements according to the following scheme:

"–" = 3 * "."
пауза между элементами буквы = 1 * "."
пауза между буквами в слове = 3 * "." ( = 1 * "–")
пауза между словами = 7 * "."

Plus, in different codes "on top" of Morse code there are different conventions about markers / separators / prefixes to make life easier for the radio operator. For example, whoever listened to the air at least once at a combat post, then reflexively wakes up all his life already from the second "b" in a row)))
