How does the "quick view by embedded images" option work in Adobe Bridge CC?

Please tell me how to see the effect of this option, what does it give? Thanks in advance.

This is directly related to what you asked here: Why does Adobe Bridge CC have poor fullscreen quality?
This button just serves to show optimized pictures or in full resolution (when you switch to full screen mode). To the right of this button, there is a drop-down menu that explains everything. There you can choose how you want Bridge to cache your images: in original quality or optimized for faster viewing. If you choose the 1st option, then thumbnails for photos will take longer to create, and Bridge's cache on disk will take up more space. And the button you're asking about forces Bridge to show everything as optimized (even if you chose original quality in the drop-down menu). This is in case you need to speed up quickly.
