How does the php script track my actions?

Hello everyone guys.
I bought a Magento script for professional sales accounting, installed it and received an email saying that after the first few sales I would have to pay for each subsequent sale.
I sent them an angry letter, they did not indicate this in the description of the script. To which they replied that this is such an innovation !!! :D
About the script: Integrates with OpenCart, Magento, etc via API
I'm wondering how they get the statistics from the script? How does he convey information to them? The script is written in PHP and has several composer.json files. I understand that the issue is with the size of the elephant, I'm interested in at least the standard methods by which they can see what I'm doing in the script and how does it pass information to them? The code doesn't seem to be coded.

Probably in the script there is a hook for creating an order. When the order creation event fires, it fires and the script performs some actions
