How does the ISP see the information?

So I called the Internet provider and he says: "I see that your router is connected, please turn it off."
The question is: how does he see it? What kind of tools do they have there? And what else do they see?

Yes, at least ping to your external IP, if it is not gray.
They see the state of the line, the amount of data transferred, the current speed, packet loss.
Don't worry, no one cares about the sites you go to.

The first thing to look at is accounts receivable.
Then they look at the session for which you are charged. It can be ipoe, dhcp, 802.x, pppoe, pptp, l2tp, etc.
Then they look at the port on the switch, what mac-address flies from it when it was last disconnected.
Then ping traces are launched.
Then the second line, and then the internal method of checking the operator.
The advanced ones provide their routers with their firmware, controlled through the provider's management system.
