How does the ip admin tool work?
I have a question for those in the know. There is a wonderful utility for detecting ip cameras ip admin tool .
You connect the camera to the local network, you launch the utility and the OPA sees its ip address. Comfortable and very convenient.
Now the crux of the matter. There are devices on windows that are brought for diagnostics, but their ip is not known, you can only enter via the web interface. Knowledgeable people tell me. How can I make it so that the ip admin tool can see these devices? Well, or at least where to dig and what to study. And then every time they bring devices, you have to run ip scan 10.0.0.0/8 and wait for years. I would be very grateful for any information.

Do you mean a program from hikvision/dahua or like XM's? She sends a broadcast request, a special one. And the cameras know how to respond to it. Other devices are unlikely. This is embedded in the device itself. The program from hikvision finds hikvision cameras, the program from polyvision also sees only its own cameras. There is also an onvif device manager, it works according to the onvif protocol.
If you want one universal program for all devices in general - I doubt very much that there is such a thing.
If the devices worked on a local network (or through a router), then first look in the networks 192.168.0.0 - 192.168.255.255.
There is no general and universal bicycle. Stupidly win a computer with settings 192.168.1.100/24 and enabled firewall will not respond to ping from another network, etc.
Probably scan 0.0.0.0/0 on all tcp and udp ports - it will more or less help, but it will take a long time ...
For a narrower case - well, apparently, scan 80/443 tcp port on all networks, setting the scan order according to the popularity criterion ( 192.168.0.0/16, 10.0.0.0/8 etc.)
