Combined D flip-flops have additional inputs for asynchronous setting of logical 0 and 1 - inputs S and R. The circuit and symbol of one such flip-flop is shown in fig. 2.44. The trigger is assembled on six NAND elements according to the scheme of three RS flip-flops. The /S and /R inputs are used to initially set the trigger to a certain state.
