How does the code work? What are its components?

My nephew is going to the municipal informatics course in three days.
Language: Python.
I looked at the tasks of last year - for the 10th grade it's too much.
To whom it is not difficult, explain how the code for the following task works. I will be incredibly grateful :)

I would take rows with gender height, I would make two lists: the height of boys and the height of girls. Then I would sort them in descending order and add them up to get a list of lines. After that, it would go through the entire list (starting from the second element), comparing the current growth value with the previous one, and if the difference in growth is greater than the previous "record", it would update the record difference. That's where it is :)
