How does the 2000 subscriber limit work in Mailchimp?
Hello.
I wanted to ask if Mailchimp has a limit of 2000 contacts for the free plan.
But can I collect, for example, 1500 subscribers, save them to my database, delete them from Mailchimp in order to collect the same number?
And so, by collecting the base and deleting it from the service, to collect somewhere 5,000 subscribers on a free plan? Or are these 2000 contacts intended for the entire time of using the service?

Good afternoon!
mailchimp counts subscribers on a monthly basis, while the total number of active subscribers should not exceed 2000.
Let's immediately clarify which subscribers are active.
Subshribed is your subscribers, an audience that you can send mailings to.
Unsubshribed - those who have unsubscribed from your newsletters. They are also considered in the tariff plan, and can also receive certain types of emails, such as purchase notifications.
Cleaned - cleaned contacts. This is either a hard bounce - a hard bounce, non-existent addresses, syntax errors in the address, or a soft bounce - a soft bounce, such as an overflowing mailbox, or a temporarily unavailable service. The soft rebounds hit Cleaned after a few underdeliveries, maybe five. Their quantity is not included in the calculation of the cost for the tariff.
Non-subscribed - those who have not subscribed to mailing lists. This category is quite rare, it happens to those who synchronize databases with online stores, usually this is a buyer who has not subscribed to mailing lists. But in the tariff they are considered.
Archived - deleted contacts, not included in the tariff, nothing can be sent. Someone needs it, for example, for statistics
All but archived contacts can be viewed by ordering contacts twice by the Email marketing column in the contact list. It is convenient to view the number by clicking Manage Contacts - Archive all contacts in the menu, of course, without continuing, the archiving itself.
Statistics will come out, for example:
You're about to archive all 572 contacts from your audience, including:
530 Subscribed
30 Unsubscribed
12 Cleaned
