How does Suspend work in VMware?

Tell me how the Suspend function works in VMware. As I understand it, you can pause the machine, turn off the main PC, then turn it on and continue working with the virtual machine from the same place. But in fact, everything works wrong, when I put the machine on pause, it starts loading the hdd on which the machine is located in 100%!!! This leads to the fact that the main PC after shutdown does not turn off and does not reboot, you have to turn it off by a rough method. Disabling the vmware process does not help. So this is a bug or the "Suspend" function works like hibernation, explain who knows, it's very annoying and interferes with work. It is dangerous to turn off the PC constantly by a rude method ...

@boypush

You paused
it She saves everything in memory
You reboot
She for some reason starts creating a snapshot / snapshot of the system
Turn off this function, somewhere in the settings
And it will reboot briskly
But after restarting the PC, you will have to start the VM from scratch
Now think. It takes a long time to take a picture (but you can set it up once, and then how it goes)
Quick restart - start the session from scratch
Even on a dedicated ssd for a virtual machine, it loads it noticeably, and you are talking about hdd
Specifically, the suspend function works like a dream in Windows. Doesn't dump anything from memory to disk. The processor does not spend resources. Saves energy. Continue work quickly. All

It works like hibernation - it needs somewhere to save the state of the machine (its entire RAM) for the duration of the host reboot.
