How does satellite TV work? Why is it faster than the internet?
2nd Question is probably wildly stupid :).
In general, the question is different, I was suddenly asked why television works a million times faster than the Internet. And why not remake the Internet, because what is there that data is transmitted right there. Do you not know at all? Yes, and TV only watch football/hockey sometimes. About how TV works, but there may be a guru.

The first is unidirectional streaming communication, the second is bidirectional request-response communication
Everything on the Internet is based on "dialogue". That is, you make a request that, after passing through several intermediate nodes, eventually reaches a certain server. This server parses your request and generates a response that is sent back to you. That is, there is always a "dialogue: request-response" scheme.
Television has only broadcast ("monologue"), which has no idea how many receivers will receive this broadcast, if at all. Therefore, the broadcast organizer creates a stream of electromagnetic waves that can carry information of any density. But what information will be received by the signal receiver depends on the characteristics of this receiver and the quality of the received signal.
