How does MikroTik determine location?

Good afternoon.

Given: MikroTik RB3011 UiAS-RM
VPN server based on OpenVPN in Moscow.

When connecting to VPN through third-party routers / mobile network - my devices are defined as Moscow.
When connecting to a VPN via MikroTik, even with geolocation turned off, my city is determined correctly.

Tell me, what in MikroTik can give out my real location? Geolocation on devices turned on / off / stroked in front / licked in the back - does not help. Yes, and through a mobile network / another router, again, everything is correct. The time zone is Moscow.

The question is critical, I live in a sanctioned region, I don’t want to change the VPN IP every 2-3 weeks.

Mikrotik does not detect anything and does not issue anything.
There is a database of IP addresses with coordinates, SSID names and connection type, and the location is calculated from it.

Are you sure that you configured the VPN correctly and, for example, there is no DNS leak? Does the traffic go through the VPN?
