How does Kerio Connect integrate with Active Directory?

Good day!
Is available Win Server 2003. Working group. Kerio Control/Connect installed.
One of these days I plan to enter this server into the domain. I am afraid of problems with Kerio. The official site has an Active Directory Extension, which, as I understand it, integrates with the freshly raised AD. The problem is that my Connect has been in use for N years, and I want to switch to a domain structure without losing any data (there are backups, but I don’t want to mess around again).
So. Has anyone introduced a server using Kerio Connect to a newly raised domain? How will AD_Extension help?

control is not integrated with AD in any way and does not make any changes there. But what the connet does is not clear
