How does getLocation work in google maps app?

I am developing an application that every minute receives coordinates locationManager.requestLocationUpdates(bestProvider, and sends them to the server. It just works crookedly somehow. I move from point A to point B, wait a few minutes, look at the coordinates, I still see point A in this at the same time I open the
google maps application, I press the button and it immediately shows me as it should at point B. how does this mysterious button work?
network, and onLocationChanged it is necessary to somehow check which coordinate is better, how to check it?
