How does eJudge detect cheating?

I recently ran into an awkward situation. My solution to one problem was banned for supposedly cheating, but I firmly remember that the problem was written by myself, with my own hands. And I was wondering how does the eJudge system detect cheating? What is checked and what is taken into account?
