How does connecting a third-party domain to a server via DNS work?

I bought a domain from beget.com registrar and rented a VPS from reg.ru. To connect the domain and the dedicated server, I changed the DNS settings for the domain to those provided by reg.ru. Domain earned, everything is fine. BUT I don’t understand how it works ((( reg.ru gave me two names like this: ns5.hosting.reg.ru, I entered them into the DNS settings and the domain became available in the VPS control panel . But how did all this happen? After all, this is not even a unique string... How did reg.ru understand that the domain belongs to me?After all, roughly speaking, any other person could log in and connect my domain to their control panel, DNSthat are the same. Please explain how it works?

- hello, help desk, tell me what number Ivanov has
- 12345
- thanks, I’m calling him,
I think who is in the dialogue above reg.ru and what phone number does his help desk have - understand?)

So everything is simple.
You took the domain from Beget.
And they told the beget that don't worry dude, my domain will be managed by the ns5.hosting.reg.ru server.
And that's all.
ns5.hosting.reg.ru has rules for your VPS and mustache.
Now, in order to change something, you need to change in the entries on the runic.

You could do it differently.
for example, take a dedicated IP address for your VPS.
And on the run to register the IP addresses of your domain, then the control would be on the side of the run.
