How does compressed air behave when passing through pipes with different diameters?

We have a cylinder, let's say there is a pressure of 25 kg / cm2.
Air flows through a much smaller diameter tube into a cylinder with a piston.
What is the principle of choosing the diameter of the tube through which air flows from the cylinder to the cylinder?
And what will happen if we make this tube twice narrower or twice as wide?

The thinner the tube, the less pressure will be inside the tube, and hence in the cylinder. The diameter must be such as to provide the necessary pressure in the cylinder.
