How does browser caching work in this situation?
How does browser caching work?
Previously, it seemed that the browser caches all images and files after the first download, but I noticed that over and over again it reloads images and files again from the server, and does not take them from the cache. (I looked at the network and almost always the files had time to download, and not instantly receive from the browser in 0 ms.).
Am I misunderstanding something, or is it necessary to specify additional properties for this image or file in order for the browser to cache something?
I read about the tag preload
and it was written there that thanks to it the file is cached.
How to make the site load faster after the first download all other times and take all previously downloaded files directly from the browser, and not re-download everything from the server?
