How does blockchain search work?

How does the search work if you need to find some block? And if you need to find one specific transaction? Is there any data stored about the nodes and is it possible to search for them too?

The search works the same way everywhere, if you need to quickly find something, then it must first be indexed, if there is no index, then only by exhaustive search.
