How does bigmit ranking determine queries by area?

Hello. respected experts.
My question is this: An investor uses the top.bigmir.net/
rating to compare sites, which has indicators: Total hosts and Hosts from the region . I would very much like to know HOW exactly the “Hosts from the region” indicator is calculated. By IP-scales (GeoIP) or when using services (maybe google, yandex or something else). To be able to conduct a substantive conversation with the investor. because In the invested resource, the coefficient of visits from the region (and the absolute figure) is higher than that of competitors, but the total attendance is lower.

Put the counter on the left site - go to IPs from different regions, compare the statistics. If it matches with IPs, then according to IP, if not, analyze other headings.
