How does a proxy work with https traffic?
The question may be very simple, but I really did not find the answer. In general, I'm interested in how the proxy works on https sites, specifically at the moment of establishing a connection and exchanging keys. Can a proxy server intercept the keys and decrypt all my traffic or not, and how does it work in general?

The proxy cannot intercept anything unless you install certificates from the proxy.
Traffic is either passed through without modification, or all protection is simply removed from it, but then you will see it (HTTPS will turn into HTTP), and some browsers, having detected such liberties using HSTS, will begin to swear
