How does a PoE switch work?

Good afternoon.
I plan to purchase a PoE switch in order to combine 8 CCTV cameras and connect to a router (there are only 4 LAN ports).
The question arises (I have not previously encountered PoE switches at all), all 8 ports are connected and combined, and does ONE LAN go to the router?
If so, what about the ports that the cameras give out? What happens if you assign the same? After all, there, as I understand it, there will be a SINGLE local address for all 8 cameras.
If I assign different ports, will they all hang on the same local address or will the router assign 8 independent local addresses?

A poe switch works like a switch without it: there is no difference whether it is poe or not - the router will distribute its address to each device (if it has DHCP).
