How does a computer work :)?

Good day to all! I am a beginner programmer. So the question of how a computer works began to torment me. I know about 1 and 0, but I want to understand more deeply .. Roughly speaking, how a piece of iron understands programs, how we see pictures, hear sounds. How electrical signals are converted into images, videos, etc. Maybe the question is a bit strange, but I don't understand it. Please explain, put everything on the shelves clearly and understandably, who knows. Thanks for the front.

The best exposition of how a computer works I have come across in only one book: Charles Petzold: Code. The secret language of informatics
For me, at one time, she put everything in its place, and made it more understandable.

I advise you to read Tanenbaum E. "Computer Architecture" (6th edition) and Modern operating systems. (4th edition)

A very, very, very broad question. In order to answer it with the completeness necessary for a programmer, you need a higher technical (preferably radio engineering) education. Go get it))) In the process of learning, you will not learn all the answers, but at least you will understand where to look for them and be able to understand them. Do you want to try it yourself? Start with Harris and Harris "Digital Circuitry and Computer Architecture". Fortunately, the network has an officially free copy. You will understand more and be able to formulate questions further.
