How do you work with HAL/JSONAPI/JSON-LD api in javascript?

Now I'm trying a backend that can return JSON-LD JSONAPI HAL or just JSON. I settled on HAL as the simplest option. But how to work with all three - little information. They return good structures, but how to work with them, it seems, is not written anywhere.
How do you work with these structures and what libraries do you use?
