How do you use Backbone?

I would like to know how you use BB. Interested in the opinion of the practicing developers.
By "how" I mean

• Typical architecture
  
• Integration with other libraries
  
• Any developments on top of explosives
  
• Have you tried/switched to Marionette.js?
  
• Which backend is easier to adjust to BB?
  

Your opinion is also interesting if you had experience writing real projects, but then switched to other tools.

The architecture depends on the project. It is best to break the application into components.
What libraries are you interested in integrating with?
We switched to Marionette.js a long time ago.
Backend doesn't matter. We have, for example, asp.net web api.
