How do you store materials for projects?

For a long time, the question of how best to manage the materials used to develop the site has been tormenting. Let's say there are the following types of data: design layout, tz, some files, articles for the site in doc format. Now this goodness is added to a separate folder. Letters and discussions from instant messengers, plus I write my work notes in OneNote. Passwords for accessing KeePass. I would like to collect all this in one place, easily accessible and universal. I thought about storing files inside OneNote, but I'm not sure if putting large files in there is a good idea.
How do you solve such a problem?

@Ualde

Oddly enough, the best option for us turned out to be Dropbox for sharing.

It is logical to store in the same place as OneNote notes - in SkyDrive
Although it is worth thinking about confluence, if you are not working with obdin, they usually store notes, passwords, and files ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atlassian_Confluence or analogues, I like the ibm jazz system or redmine

my keepassx database is stored in a skydrive and connected at home and at work through a client, and I won't risk taking out passwords from it.
I keep all the necessary documents there.
With clients / employees - it’s more difficult - either your own servers, or dropboxes and others like them - to whom Google drive, to whom Yandex.disk, to whom Skydrive with Facebook - it is rumored that it will integrate with the office in places
